Does Endometriosis go away at menopause?
Posted by
admin
My Family member / Friend / Neighbour / Doctor etc. told me Endometriosis goes away at menopause. Is that true?
Sadly, no.
Endometriosis doesn’t just go away, in the same way that Diabetes or Lupus doesn’t magically go away. Like Diabetes and Lupus, Endometriosis is an autoimmune disease, and as such, it is a lifelong condition.
The experience of those in perimenopause and in menopause runs the gamut from “I have no change in my pain levels”, to “I am now in less pain”, to “I no longer have any pain”.
